Hälsning från PJ och Ulrica
Precis hemkommen från några dagar i Israel är jag djupt berörd av allt det som har sitt epicentrum i detta land. Tankarna kretsar kring det stora som har skett – och som sker – i detta lilla land och på denna begränsade yta.
Israel berör och upprör. Hela världen tycks ha en uppfattning om detta land och detta folk. Den senaste terrorattacken på Bondi Beach visar med all tydlighet det djävulska i att man, bara för att någon tillhör ett specifikt folk, anser sig ha rätt att mörda dem i sitt folks och sin religions namn. Historien upprepar sig gång på gång. Det finns många aspekter av detta, men jag väljer att stanna här.
Oavsett hur du tolkar Bibelns undervisning om de yttersta tingen och tidens slut, går det inte att bortse från Israels och Guds församlings plats i den plan Gud har för världens frälsning. Och allt detta mäktiga börjar i ett stall i staden Betlehem.
För två tusen år sedan. På en liten geografisk yta, i ett litet land som var ockuperat och levde under stort förtryck. Ett folk kontrollerat av en religiös elit som utövade makt över den svage.
Där, mitt i det svåra, väljer Gud att presentera sin lösning för världens frälsning. Den lilla, till synes obetydliga och svaga starten hos det unga paret Josef och Maria kommer att ge eko ända in i evigheten av en enda anledning: de valde att böja sig under Guds vilja och lita på att Gud skulle leda och beskydda dem.
Vi kan alla lära oss något stort av detta: vår kallelse att älska och tjäna Gud – det som är vårt verkliga syfte och vår mening – kommer före vår förmåga att se hur det är möjligt. Det är här, i det lilla och till synes omöjliga, som vår tro kommer in i bilden.
Vi väljer att tro innan vi ser, och vi väljer att gå på hans ord innan vi har alla svar eller resurser i våra händer.
Det är i det vi ännu inte sett, i det som initialt kan se så svagt ut, som vi lyfter blicken och tror på en Gud som valde att födas i ett stall. En Gud som valde korset för att du och jag skulle få frid med Gud.
Till sist, Lifecenter Church är ett mirakel från början till slut, och vi är tacksamma över att få dela det undret med dig. Tack för allt du gett av tid, energi och resurser för att bygga en varm kristen gemenskap.

För ett barn blir oss fött, en son blir oss given. På hans axlar vilar herradömet, och hans namn är: Under, Rådgivare, Mäktig Gud, Evig Far, Fridsfurste. Så ska herradömet bli stort och friden utan slut över Davids tron och hans rike. Det ska befästas och stödjas med rätt och rättfärdighet från nu och till evig tid.

Hello Lifecenter,
Having just returned from a few days in Israel, I am deeply moved by everything that has its epicenter in this land. My thoughts revolve around the great things that have happened—and that are still happening—in this small country and within this limited area.
Israel both touches and provokes. The whole world seems to have an opinion about this land and this people. The recent terror attack at Bondi Beach clearly reveals the diabolical nature of believing that, simply because someone belongs to a specific people, one has the right to murder them in the name of one’s people and religion. History repeats itself time and again. There are many aspects to this, but I choose to stop here.
Regardless of how you interpret the Bible’s teaching about the last things and the end of time, it is impossible to ignore the place of Israel and God’s Church in the plan God has for the salvation of the world. And all of this greatness begins in a stable in the town of Bethlehem.
Two thousand years ago. In a small geographical area, in a small country that was occupied and living under great oppression. A people controlled by a religious elite that exercised power over the weak.
There, in the midst of hardship, God chooses to present His solution for the salvation of the world. The small, seemingly insignificant and weak beginning with the young couple Joseph and Mary will echo into eternity for one reason alone: they chose to submit to God’s will and trust that God would lead and protect them.
We can all learn something profound from this: our calling to love and serve God—our true purpose and meaning—comes before our ability to see how it is possible. It is here, in the small and seemingly impossible, that our faith comes into play.
We choose to believe before we see, and we choose to walk according to His word before we have all the answers or resources in our hands.
It is in what we have not yet seen, in what may initially appear so weak, that we lift our eyes and believe in a God who chose to be born in a stable. A God who chose the cross so that you and I might have peace with God.
Finally, Lifecenter Church is a miracle from beginning to end, and we are grateful to share that miracle with you. Thank you for all that you have given in time, energy, and resources to build a warm Christian community.

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever.
