Theme sessions with the Bible in focus!

Welcome to join the Bible study series DISCOVERY!

Time: Every other Wednesday, even weeks:
  • at 18:00 – 19:15, Swedish group
  • at 19:30 – 20:45, English group
Location: Lifecenter Linköping, Götgatan 35 (Abisko square – map).
(If you register for the English group, you are still welcome to the Swedish session, if you understand Swedish and 18–19:15 is more convenient for you on a particular day.)

At each session, we focus on a particular theme/topic. After an introduction about what the Bible says about the current topic, we discuss the topic together. The goal is to have about 30 minutes of dialogue time during each session.
We ask ourselves, among other things, how we as disciples of Jesus relate to what the Bible says on the subject? Is there a uniform interpretation of what the Bible teaches or can it be interpreted in different ways? What questions or views on the subject do you have? How has this affected your life?
There is no requirement to be active in the discussions – if you find that part difficult, don't let that stop you from coming.

There is no cost to join the Discovery and no requirement to attend every session – you can join at any time!
It is also not necessary to register, but we ask you to register so that you receive the information sent to the participants. The presentation material is published on the Bible study topics webpage after each session and the participants will be notified by email when updates have been made.

Why join Discovery?

A main purpose of the Discovery sessions is to give the participants the opportunity to get to know God more – to gain greater knowledge of Him and to grow as disciples of Jesus. We do this primarily by studying His Word, the Bible, processing what we read and applying what we read and learn in our lives.
Everyone is welcome to join, both you who have been a Christian for many years and you who are relatively new to the faith.
You are uncouraged to bring your Bible, notebook and pen – or take notes digitally.

Paul's words in Col 1:9–10 describe the purpose of Discovery well: ”... we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God”.
